Updated master and rebuilt using pristine sources and the example build issue is still there on Linux:
[ 95%] Linking CXX executable codeCoverage
/usr/bin/ld: cannot open output file codeCoverage: Is a directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

I'll regenerate a patch.
