Dear Dieter,
I just wanted to let you know that the College of Computing and Information Sciences, UMass, Amherst is hiring an Assistant or Associate Professor in Theoretical Computer Science, to start in September, 2020. The theory group at UMass consists of Cameron Musco
https://people.cs.umass.edu/~cmusco/ (algorithm design and numerical linear algebra), Ramesh Sitaraman
https://www.cics.umass.edu/news/ramesh-sitaraman-and-colleagues-receive-acm-sigcomm-networking-systems-award (algorithms for content distribution), Andrew McGregor

UMass Amherst is the flagship campus of the UMass system, and Computer Science here is now its own college. We are particularly strong in machine learning, programming languages, data science---all areas that are close to theory. We are a school that prides
itself on interactions and collaborations between faculty; it is a supportive and democratic department, and is particularly encouarging of its junior faculty. Laura Haas became dean of the college two years ago and she has been terrific.
