Below is information about internship opportunities at Microsoft Research India.  The program attracts students from all over the world, not just from India.  It is one of the strongest labs in the world doing PL-related research.  We know the people at the lab quite well – Akash completed his Ph.D. at Wisconsin in 2009.

I would like to ask for your assistance in informing outstanding students about internship opportunities at Microsoft Research India in Programming Languages and its intersection with other areas of computer science.  For a student from any part of the world, our group offers an interesting experience in terms of doing leading-edge research, in addition to being a distinctive global  cultural experience.  Some of the projects that are actively seeking interns include using program reasoning to optimize big-data queries, programming languages for distributed systems, language design for smart contracts, and compilers-based security in low-level applications.
