I think this should just work.

I'll probably go through the changelog between trixie's v23 and the 
current 24.10 version to see whether there are any potential red flags. 
But given we are coming from an ancient version and usually don't do 
anything special, I'd say, we should be good with v23 during testing 
over the next month.
