Re: [HTCondor-users] [EXTERNAL] Re: Miniconda dependency

Hi Mike,

No worries, definitely let us know if you have any troubles once you set strict channel preference for conda-forge, I would expect all of the dependencies to come out of conda-forge (or at least be met by packages in conda-forge).

Actually, this looks like a false alarm (sorry yâall!). Someone in our IT department saw this info on installing python bindings (https://htcondor.readthedocs.io/en/latest/apis/python-bindings/install.html) and missed that 0) they are not required and 1) that link shows using conda-forge anyway.

Â

Thanks and sorry for spam on a misunderstanding.

Â

Cheers,

Mike

This is interesting because our agency also plans to block conda. What conda dependency did you find in htcondor?

Hi HTCondor World

Â

My agency is in the process of blocking the main Anaconda channel due to new license conditions. We are able to access the conda-forge channel, however. It appears that HTCondor is dependent on the Anaconda channel, so I wanted to see if itâs possible to refactor to the conda-forge channel?

Â

Many thanks

Mike
