Hi Mike,

The Volume Group (or backing Thinpool if using thin provisioning) can be utilized by non-condor LVs. Condor marks all LVs it has created with a htcondor_lv tag to help ensure that it only cleans up LVs it created. I do want to that the tagging of LVs was added midway through the features experimental phase (V23.5.2). The disk enforcement feature is no longer experimental as of V23.10.1 of HTCondor.

When using LVM_VOLUME_GROUP_NAME for the ephemeral execute directories,
does condor require exclusive access to this volume group, or can other
non-condor logical volumes also be created in this volume group?
