if it works in vanilla that means there existed some machine in your
local pool (potentially the very same machine you submitted from) for
which the job worked. This a good first step.

Therefore your issue is likey to be:
1) the globus setup on one or the other side is wrong
2) the machines in the globus pool don't like your job
  a) ...and won't run it
  b) ...run it but don't do anything useful

yes.

Sadly at this point my ability to help is rather lacking - I don't use
globus and so have next to no experience with it, let alone Condor-G.
