Ok, I did some archeology - the only FS namespace patch I have immediately available is based off the PID namespace patch. It would take some work to rebase it on master instead (as the PID namespace patch re-works how synchronization between parent and child).
Could you take a peek at the PID namespace patch and let me know how far it is from landing on trunk? If you think it's still far off, I can add rebasing the FS namespace work it to my TODO list.
