       I find the patch,  It tell me I should reinstall the GEMS, I use the GEMS2.0 and simics 3.0.31,but I want to know whether  the patch is compatible for GEMS2.0 and simics3.0.31,even whether the GEMS2.0 include the patch?

yes you can simulate x86, look for the x86 patch on the gems downloads website 

and follow instructions. You also might have to go with an older version of 

simics... at least that's what i had to do.
