Subject: | [Gems-users] Simics cycles |
Hi, From the Profiler.C file I observed that the total Simics cycles reported is the sum of the individual processor cycles. In a multiprocessor system are the processors not executed in parallel? If so why are the Simics cycles summed up? I am trying to get a performance metric to analyze different cache configurations and would like to base my results on execution clock cycles for a benchmark. Adding the simics cycles for the processors does not seem to be right for this. Could someone help me out and correct me if my interpretation is wrong. Divya
