Subject: [Gems-users] Running gems 2.0 on a bagle target
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone here has successfully run gems 2.0 on a Bagle target. I'm currently working on getting it working, however I'm having trouble with some of the synchronization in the Linux kernel. Everything seems to work fine when I'm working under a uniprocessor model, however when I work with 2 processors, I tend to get errors. Additionally the errors don't appear "obvious" at all, as it's not always something segfaulting, or crashing, but sometimes it's the OS getting stuck in infinite loops, and preventing forward progress, and sometimes it seems that the code is jumping to an invalid address that is confusing simics and gems. Everything seems to run fine when executing in standalone mode too.

I'm just wondering if anyone has played with Gems 2.0 under bagle, or has any insight into what might be causing the problems. I've tried changing the control registers (and am using a modified list), but it doesn't seem to solve all the problems. I've also looked at various other fixes, but so far haven't had much luck with it.

thanks,
Phil Garcia
