[Gems-users] question about SIMICS_RUBY_MULTIPLIER

Hi,

I am a new gems users. May I ask a question about ruby cycle and simics
cycle.

the question is how does the parameter SIMICS_RUBY_MULTIPLIER affect the
simulation ?

 SIMICS_RUBY_MULTIPLIER is 2 (1 ruby cycle = 2 simics cycle)by default, is
it more accurate if it equals 1 (ruby cycle = simics cycle). I ask this
because the parameter about memory and network latency are all set in
unit of 'ruby cycle', while I usually understand these latency by
'processor cycle', so I think it is more reasonalbe to set
SIMICS_RUBY_MULTIPLIER to 1 to have better simulation ?

I might be wrong. Any comments are welcome.
