In some multifacet papers (eg: Safetynet) when only Ruby is hooked up for simulation , you state that the processor cores is capable of executing 4billion instructions with a perfect-memory hierarchy. Does this mean you set SIMICS cycle time to be (4GHz) ? Won't this affect the fidelity of execution ? I am kind of getting confused between notion of cycle time for Ruby and SIMICS Arrvindh Shriraman Conputer Science Department University of Rochester __________________________________ Yahoo!
