Hi Jin-Yi,

Could you forward the following?

We are organizing a summer school in August '22 on some exciting
new tools developed very recently for the study of MCMC algorithms, see:
The focus is on the new technique known as spectral independence
and related notions from high-dimensional expanders and how these
tools can be used to analyze entropy decay.  We will highlight recent
breakthrough results of generating random bases of a matroid as well
as exploring the spectral independence approach: how
spectral independence implies optimal mixing time bounds
and approaches for establishing spectral independence.

The summer school will be held at the UC Santa Barbara campus.
Lodging will be provided for graduate students at the on-campus
dorms, right next to the ocean.  Faculty and postdocs are also welcome
to attend.  Anyone (potentially) interested in attending should fill out the
online form at the bottom of the above link to receive further updates.

Thanks, Eric
