Guri, I was wondering if your students (or CS/CE graduate students in
parallel computing) would be interested in working with us for the
summer.. it would be nice if you could it put it on a forum where grad
students can benefit..

The Systems Architecture Department, located in the Princeton, NJ, is
seeking highly motivated Ph.D. students for summer internships. The
department conducts research in the domain of parallel architecture and
computing. The current focus is on heterogeneous clusters. These
clusters have compute nodes consisting of multi-core CPUs and GPUs, with
support for both shared and distributed memory, heterogeneous
interconnects, IO virtualization, and a heterogeneous storage hierarchy
(SSD and disks). Such clusters are emerging as the common platform of
choice for enterprise applications. The topics for the internships
include but are not limited to:
* Programming models and runtimes to hide heterogeneity from
programmers.
* Data and I/O management on heterogeneous clusters
* Modeling and performance analysis of heterogeneous clusters.
* Virtualization of compute, memory and IO on heterogeneous
clusters.
* Architectural exploration of cluster components

Familiarity with parallel architectures, programming languages and
programming models is required.

Familiarity with CUDA, SSE, OpenMP, MPI, Hadoop and virtualization
software will be valued.

Interested students can send their resume to internship@xxxxxxxxxxxx and
reference "Systems-Architecture" in the subject line.
