Hi All,

Let’s discuss about the Arrakis project being done at University of Washington. The high level idea of the project is rethinking OS as a control plane so that they don’t have to participate in all communication between applications and hardware resources. 

For this week, let’s center the discussion around the workshop papers (1) Arrakis: A case for the End of the Exmpire in HotOS and (2) Towards High-performance Application-Level Storage Management in HotStorage.
