just for reference,

recently i've been running DAGs of 37800 nodes without a problem.  i also
started running one of 150000 nodes but i didn't let it run to completion.
it seemed to be working, other than it took a while to start up (reading and
parsing DAG and submit files, checking for cycles in the DAG, etc).
