There is a bit of history behind that. The slot classad is called the "Machine" ad because back when HTCondor was first written there was a single slot per machine. When multi core machine became available, it was too late to change the type of the slot ad,
so it is still called the "Machine" classad. But in any case,
condor_status -server
Still reports on the Machine classads, so you get one line per slot and a summary reporting on slots.
If you want a report from condor status that is about the machine rater than about the slots, use
condor_status -startd
To get a report that is about the slots, but organized by machine, use
condor_status -compact
-tj

when using condor_status -server the number of Machines reported is equal to the number of slots, which is wrong. _______________________________________________ HTCondor-users mailing list To unsubscribe, send a message to htcondor-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx with a subject: Unsubscribe The archives can be found at: https://www-auth.cs.wisc.edu/lists/htcondor-users/ |
