Re: [HTCondor-users] Run HTCondor-CE as normal user

This should be possible, but we havenât made any efforts to produce a package that makes it easy. Youâd have to relocate a lot of files from the rootly locations used by the RPM packages and modify the configuration files to point to the new locations. Also, the normal configuration for routing jobs to a local HTCondor pool wonât work, as it assumes it can directly read the APâs root-protected job queue file. But you can configure it to use the grid universe and blahpd (similar to how jobs are routed to a local SLURM cluster).

Setup should be like this, Condor-CE should be in the user home directory and would run condor-ce daemons as normal user but not as root or condor.

How can I make this work?

Please let me know.

Hello

I would like to know if it's possible to run HTCondor-CE as normal user.

Setup should be like this, Condor-CE should be in the user home directory and would run condor-ce daemons as normal user but not as root or condor.

How can I make this work?

Please let me know.
