Hmm,
at transform time you are on the sched and you can alter the job classadd in the way you think it needs to be.
The matchmaking with a startd happens after that but you can alter the job classadd to match certain machines and others not of course.

Betreff: Re: [HTCondor-users] Setting a whitelist of allowed containers?
Thanks for the suggestion Christoph. Is there a way to make job transforms execute only after they match to a certain site or according to a ClassAd published by the startd?
Benedikt
Hi Benedikt,
several ways to handle that, with transforms on the sched you could check which container the user wants and edit the requirements accordingly or replace the container by another one that you think would suit better.
Also you could of course ignore the users 'wishes' alltogether and use the transform to establish a container environment of your gusto ...

Hi,
To run in certain environments (Grace-Hopper or Intel GPU) we need to limit the allowed containers to support the CPU or GPU arch.
Is there a way to create a whitelist of containers that can be used based on the discovered hardware?
Alternatively, is there a way to set a default container for an startd/EP, but not let the schedd change it if it is defined in the submit file?
Thanks,
Benedikt
