[HTCondor-users] Question About Pelican and Apptainer Versions with HTCondor 24.0.14

Hi,

I have a question regarding HTCondor dependency compatibility.

I see that Condor 24.0.15 includes the following changes:

• HTCondor tarballs now contain Pelican 7.21.1, and the Condor RPM now requires pelican-7.21.1.

• HTCondor tarballs now contain Apptainer 1.4.4, and the Condor RPM now requires at least apptainer 1.4.4.

We are upgrading to Condor 24.0.14 (not 24.0.15). Would it be acceptable to update these dependencies on our execute nodes to the newer versions (Pelican 7.21.1 and Apptainer 1.4.4) while still running Condor 24.0.14? I want to make sure this combination remains fully compatible.
