That web page was a work-in-progress from 3 years ago. I would ignore it.
IDTokens is our recommended way to do inter-machine authentication if you donât have another authentication system already in use. If you use https://get.htcondor.org to setup a new HTCondor pool, it will give you a running pool with IDTokens configured.
