Hello Thomas,
The pcre2-tools package is found in the CodeReady Linux Builder repository on Enterprise Linux 8 and 9. To enable this repository on RHEL 9, run the following commands as root:
ARCH=$(/bin/arch)
subscription-manager repos --enable
"codeready-builder-for-rhel-9-${ARCH}-rpms"

Hello everyone,We are encountering an issue with the installation of HTCondor 24.0.2 on a freshly installed RHEL 9.5 system. The installation fails because the dependency on the 'pcre2-tools' package defined in the 'condor-upgrade-checks' package cannot be found. In the official RHEL 9 and EPEL repositories, I can only find the pcre2 package. The 'pcre2-tools' package is only available in Debian-based repositories, and I suspect there is a naming difference in the package definition.console output:
dnf install condorUpdating Subscription Management repositories.Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:16 ago on Tue 26 Nov 2024 04:06:47 PM CET.Error:Problem: package condor-24.0.2-1.el9.x86_64 from htcondor requires condor-upgrade-checks, but none of the providers can be installed- cannot install the best candidate for the job- nothing provides pcre2-tools needed by condor-upgrade-checks-24.0.1-1.el9.x86_64 from htcondor- nothing provides pcre2-tools needed by condor-upgrade-checks-24.0.2-1.el9.x86_64 from htcondor(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)
Could someone please check this assumption and show us a solution?Thank you.
