ah - another question:
who has to be owner/needs to write to the condor credential 
sub-directories under `/var/lib/condor/`?

I just noticed that the two cred-related sub-dirs are owned by root:root 
& root:condor [1]. Is this correct? ð
In case this might be the origin of our odd write errors??
