Hi Wesley,

We currently do not support AES but you'll be happy to know it is under development and should be included in one of the next couple development releases (8.9.X series).  This means it will be supported in the 9.0.0 stable release (and beyond), which we are hoping to release this fall.

In addition to using better algorithms (when they are available), we would also suggest that for installations with very strict security requirements that they run on isolated networks.
