Dear HTCondor community,
We are pleased to announce the European HTCondor Workshop 2019. The
workshop will take place
from Tuesday 24 September 09:00 h
to Friday 27 September at lunchtime.
Mark your agendas!
The workshop will be hosted by the Joint Research Centre of the European
Commission (EC-JRC) in Ispra, Lombardy, Italy, very close to the shores
of Lago Maggiore and some 60 km northwest of the Italian Metropolitan
area of Milan (Milano). JRC is a multi-disciplinary research site;
exciting site visits will form part of the workshop's agenda. Transport
will be provided before the start and after the end of the workshop
between Milano Malpensa airport and Ispra.
The workshop will be an excellent occasion for learning from the sources
(the developers!) about HTCondor, exchanging with your colleagues about
experiences and plans, and providing your feedback to the experts. The
HTCondor Compute Element (CE) will be covered in detail as well.
Participation is open to all organizations (including companies) and
persons interested in HTCondor (and by no means restricted to particle
physics and/or academia!) If you know potentially interested persons,
don't hesitate to make them aware of this opportunity.
A Web site with details, including travel and accommodation information,
will be available soon (probably early June). Watch for announcements
on this email list and also on http://htcondor.org.
If you consider attending, we would very much like to know about your
project, your experience and your plans. Hence you are warmly encouraged
to propose a short presentation. Details on how to submit abstracts will
follow.
If you have any questions, please contact
hepix-2019condorworkshop-support@xxxxxxxxx .
We are looking forward to a rich, productive workshop, and we hope to
see many of you at JRC!
