I used htcondor-previous-rhel5.repo to Upgrade condor, but still cant star't condor due to the same fatal message.

Maybe I should upgrade centos and condor...

It does sound like you have a version of HTCondor that is built for a different operating system. I would uninstall your current HTCondor and install the latest build that is still available in our repositories.

For CentOS 5.5, you can get HTCondor 8.2.10 from the "previous" repository:
   
https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/yum/repo.d/htcondor-previous-rhel5.repo

This release (8.2.10) of HTCondor is totally unsupported at this time. (But, several people are still using it.)

Hi Allen,

This is the sort of thing that I would expect if you mixed a RHEL7 build with a RHEL6 OS (or vice-versa).

Can you send the exact RPM versions and the contents of /etc/redhat-release? (Or the Debian equivalents, if that is your platform?)

/etc/condor/condor_config this config file exists.

Maybe something wrong with glibc,libstdc++? How to fix it?
