Sorry, forgot. You can tell I don't get to use it very often.

So on the 8.-now-6.1 node in question this is true. On the 8.2.10
central manager:

> [root@exocet ~]# condor_config_val update_collector_with_tcp
> Not defined: UPDATE_COLLECTOR_WITH_TCP

Looks like maybe a clue. I'll see what it'll take to bump the central
mangler to 8.6.
