    Thanks for your advice.  The problem of idling job has been solved.

    Because some startds keep busy but not being release when the jobs running on the startds are completed.

    I cleaned these startds, and the negotiating recovers.

    About the advice of multi-core jobs, I will try it.

are the idleing jobs having different requirements than the starting

jobs or are all jobs more or less equal?

 

If for example some of the jobs require multiple cores or so, you may

have to add a defrag daemon to get the requested resources freed?
