What kind of strain would that put on a CM? Could be considerable for
even a smaller pool if the job turnover rate is high. CM machines aren't
not usually spec'ed to handle a high number of concurrent,
condor-related threads. A scheduler-side hook, perhaps run by the
Shadow, would seem to make more sense since these machines are expected
to be doing a lot of condor-related concurrent processing.
Andre, why do you need it to run from the central manager specifically?

Greetings,
I would like to have an executable called on the condor central manager
when a job completes/finishes. In the Condor documentation, I found ways
to do that using hooks, but these hooks are called by the startd and
starter daemon on the resource that ran the job.
Does anyone know of a way to implement this on the central manager side?
Thanks a lot!

Short answer is there's no hook for that. But an RFE sounds like it
would have at least two users, likely a few dozen.
Best,
