| Hi Guys, Thanks a lot for all your inputs. I've finally configured condor on machine A as collector, negotiator, schedd, master and machine B as submit and execute. I'm getting the following output for the commands, 1) condor_status Name               OpSys      Arch   State     Activity LoadAv Mem   ActvtyTime slot1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LINUX      X86_64 Owner     Idle     0.080  1004  0+00:00:07 slot2@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LINUX      X86_64 Owner     Idle     0.000  1004  0+00:00:08 slot3@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LINUX      X86_64 Owner
     Idle     0.000  1004  0+00:00:09 slot4@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LINUX      X86_64 Owner     Idle     0.000  1004  0+00:00:10                      Total Owner Claimed Unclaimed Matched Preempting Backfill         X86_64/LINUX     4     4       0         0       0          0        0                Total     4     4       0         0       0          0        0 2) condor_status -any MyType
TargetType           Name Scheduler            None                 machineB.domain.com DaemonMaster         None            machineB.domain.com Machine              Job                  slot1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Machine              Job                  slot2@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Machine              Job                  slot3@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Machine              Job
slot4@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Scheduler            None                 machineA.domain.com. DaemonMaster         None             machineA.domain.com. Negotiator           None                 machineA.domain.com. All these work when i configure machineB also as a submit node. If i make it only as execute node there is no reply for condor_status. While configuring now i used the --owner=condor in the condor_configure command. Then i also added the ALLOW_READ and ALLOW_WRITE values as per your suggestion.
