on both the machines gives this output

MyType               TargetType           Name

Scheduler            None                 machineA.mydomain.com.

DaemonMaster         None            machineA.mydomain.com.

Negotiator           None                 machineA.mydomain.com.

condor_config_val COLLECTOR_HOST
condor_config_val CONDOR_HOST

gives on both machines the same result

machineA.mydomain.com
