Hi friends,
I was reading this article:
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/grid/library/gr-condorg1/index.html
according to this... the job is submitted using Condor and Globus to a job
manager namely FORK or LSF or PBS.
Can v have a job manager Condor rather than Fork or LSF or PBS to manage the
job submission and execution.
if yes, wat will be the description file?
Thanx,
Pranav
The jobmanager you talk about is part of globus toolkit, wich natively
supports Fork, PBS/LSF and Condor.
Note that Fork creates another process to run the job, but PBS and
Condor are schedulers which run the jobs according to the availability
of resources, i.e., they are far more elaborated.
I am currently working with Globus, Condor and Sun Grid Engine (1) as
an alternative to Condor. The jobmanager for Grid Engine can be found
in (2).
