[Condor-users] What should happen when an execute node is turnedoff while a job is running???

G’Day,

 

What should happen if some one shuts down their computer when it is executing a condor job???

 

Should the job go back in to the queue to be rescheduled out to another computer?

 

This is what I think should happen, however, I am currently seeing my java jobs exiting with status 143, which condor thinks is a normal termination, so the job is no longer in the queue and there are no results for that job.

 

Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong here???
