New branches made for the upcoming release.  We've now got

V7_6-branch:  Only in case of a security fire
V7_7-branch:  Only for serious bugs cleared with the wrangling team
V7_7_6-branch: Almost ready to go
V7_8-branch: Low priority bug fixes go here
master:  aka V7_9:  wild, wild west
