Re: [Condor-devel] Location of public git repository?

Great! Read-only access is all I'm looking for; with that, I can create a local clone, develop my changes, and re-publish an updated branch locally which you can inspect / pull changes from as desired.

So sooner would be ideal, but if it's going to be a couple weeks then I'll build a local git repository from the published 7.4 source tarball and migrate my patches across to a clone of the proper git repository when it becomes available.

i'm also curious what changes you have planned?

From my experiments, and from my initial reading of the Condor source code, Condor clients /seem/ to be authenticating Kerberos peers in a manner that's incompatible with a cross-realm Kerberos operation.

(This is certainly the case in my current virtual-machine set-up.)

I'm interested in fixing this limitation; it looks like it should be a fairly minimal and straight-forward change, and would be useful for developing my PhD thesis.

currently link with krb5-1.4.3 (with some patches) instead of 1.6.X, just in
case that affects anything you wanted to do. this is also something we hope
to change "real soon now", as soon as we dump static linking of our binaries.

Thanks for the warning, but -- so long as the library calls don't change substantially between versions -- this should be fine.

Many thanks for the speedy response!

Cheers,
David
