[Gems-users] Question about adding a new function unit in opal.

Dear all,

I am trying to add some new instructions needing a new function  unit in GEMS.

I plan to add a new function unit in opal to handle these new defined instructions.
And what modification I should make to Simics so that GEMS can work well?
Can I add a module which has the same function with that function unit in GEMS and handle the new instructions with sample-user-decoder?

 

And another question is how to add some new instructions to opal so that my program can excute correctly.

I don't know the exactly steps to finish it though I am trying to do it now.

Can anyone who did it before and tell me some information to help me out with it?
