Thank you Dan.
I repeated the entire setup process for Simics and GEMS, and now both Ruby and Opal compile without problems!
I think there was something wrong with several softlinks.

Best regards,

David

I forgot to sat that the same thing is happening when I try to compile Opal.

Hi,

I'm trying to compile Ruby with gcc-3.4 and g++-3.4, and I get the following error:

[...]
touch x86-linux/generated/MSI_MOSI_CMP_directory/bin/ruby.closure
Template closure done
Made module
make[1]: leaving directory `/opt/gems/ruby'
Ruby: Linking simics module
cd /opt/gems//simics; make ruby
make[1]: Entering directory `/opt/gems/simics'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `ruby'. Stop.

make[1]: leaving directory `/opt/gems/simics'
make: *** [all] Error 2

and I don't know what should I do to fix it.
I am running Ubuntu 8.04, clean install, and I have installed build-essential, zlib1g-dev, bison and flex.

Can anyone help me?? Thanks!!
