Subject: [Gems-users] Dynamic change of links latencies
Hi all,

I am learning SIMICS/GEMS/GARNET simulation environment and I have two questions:
1.           Is there any possibility to dynamically change links latencies between cores in CMP system during runtime? May this be done for the file specified topology?
2.           And another question: is it possible to set different link width for each link (maybe using g_FLIT_SIZE parameter)? Will this influence package delivery latency and average network latency?

I use SIMICS 3.0.31, GEMS 2.1.1. Target machine: abisko with Solaris 10. GEMS parameters are as follows:

Protocol: MOESI_CMP_directory

g_NUM_PROCESSORS 16

g_MEMORY_SIZE_BYTES 4294967296

g_PROCS_PER_CHIP 16

g_NETWORK_TOPOLOGY FILE_SPECIFIED

g_GARNET_NETWORK true

g_DETAIL_NETWORK true

g_FLIT_SIZE 16

Kind regards,

Arseniy.
