Ruby by default will already provide some variability due to the random noise it adds to DRAM access times. Is this what you are driving at, or are there other variabilities you are interested in?

Hi All,
If I would like to account for workload variability in
workloads like SPECJBB how should I go about doing that? In the GEMS
-ISCA TUTORIAL slides there is a slide that talks about workload
variability, but I am not sure as to how should I start implementing
that.
I would really appreciate if someone can point me to how should I go
about doing this.

Thanks,
Mishali
