[Gems-users] separate user execution from os effects

I am trying to isolate the application's behavior from the OS effects for
a multithreaded application. Currently, I am seeing a lot of supervisor 
misses that's degrading performance.
Is there a way to do this? I am running both opal and ruby. I see a 
previous post on this similar topic but no response.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
