Liping,
Virtutech does not distribute _Solaris_ images for SPARC machines.
Virtutech _does_ distribute _Linux_ images for SPARC machines. If you
want a Solaris image, you must make it yourself. That is, Virtutech does
not offer SPARC/Solaris images via simics.net.
As for the difference between bagel and sarek:
(From bagel.config): Bagle is a Sun Enterprise 3500/4500/5500/6500
server with Suse Linux 7.3 installed. It can be configured with up to 30
UltraSPARC II processors and 60GB of memory.
(From sarek.config): Sarek is a Sun Fire 3800/4800/6800 server and can
be configured with up to 24 UltraSPARC III (or III+) processors and
192GB of memory.
As Mike suggested, most Simics questions can be answered via simics.net
or the extensive simics documentation.

Dan

Hi, Dan,
Thanks for your reply. It is very helpful.
But I still have some questions.
In your email, you mentioned that* "Simics.net: Simics distributes disk
dumps of SPARC/Linux, and you can **use these if you want or..."
**But when I look the "Simics.net", I find that the distributed disk
dumps are for Linux(such as *bagle5-suse73.craff
<http://www.simics.net/pub/simics/import/sunfire/bagle5-suse73.craff>),*
not for Solaris (I mean I can not find something like
sarek2-solaris9.craff and sarek2.1-extras.craff).
I think if I use that bagle-suse73.craff, I need to start Simics under
/home/bagle, say use bagle-1p.simics?
What is the difference between /home/sarek and /home/bagle?
*
Thanks !
