Hi Karin,
What you need to do is edit ruby and opal to use similar functions that
are supported in simics 2.2. In our experience updating to a new version
of simics can sometimes be a long and arduous process. Unless you need a
feature of simics 2.2, I would recommend using the currently supported
version, 2.0.23. Learning GEMS can be difficult enough and then having
your first task to be updating simics versions, may be too aggressive.
If I haven't been successful in talking you out of upgrading simics
versions :), we should give you the scripts we use. Would you like to see
them?
