There is significant slowdown with Ruby.  How much memory does your
simulated SUNFire system have?  You should configure Ruby so that this
value matches (Ruby defaults at 4GB).  Is your host CPU utilization near
100%?  In other words, are you a significant amount of time swapping when
running Simics with Ruby?
