Ugh. Yeah, I'm aware of that one, but I keep forgetting that it only happens on 32-bit native systems. Mine is a 64-bit and so I don't see it. I just need to configure a VM. 

For most of the tests you can do a make -k to continue after errors. We can fail to build a lot of them due to missing libraries (e.g., a static libstdc++) so failures are expected. Fixing the makefiles to continue after an error is on my list.

My fix was to leave out one of the object files:

gfortran -g -o test1_18F.mutatee_solo_dynamic_gfortran_32_none_none test1_18F_mutatee_solo_gcc_32_none_none.o mutatee_util_gcc_32_none_none.o test1_18F_fortran_gfortran_32_none_none.o

Same for test1_18F.mutatee_solo_dynamic_gfortran_32_pic_none

If you have a chance, pull down the latest v8.0.1; URL is here: snapshot. It should work out of the box.
