Congrats grads! Extending CHTC Access and Data Clean-up

Hello CHTC users, 

Congrats spring 2026 graduates!

If you are a graduating student and still need access to CHTC services to finish a project, your PI must request an extension for your CHTC account.

If you need to transfer ownership of your data to your group, we recommend:

• Archiving your data in your PI’s ResearchDrive (preferred), or
• Moving the data to a shared group directory on CHTC systems. As a reminder, our systems are not backed up, so this method should be done concurrently with other data archival strategies.

CHTC cannot transfer your data to another user’s account without your written permission. If you are inactive for more than two years, we reserve the right to delete your data to free up space.
