Update: CHTC maintenance partially complete

Hello CHTC users, 

 

The maintenance planned for today (July 16) is partially complete. 

• HTC users of ap2001.chtc.wisc.edu should be able to log in and submit jobs.
• HPC users can use the new login node (spark-login.chtc.wisc.edu) and submit jobs to the partitions available from that node. 
• Access to ap2002.chtc.wisc.edu and hpclogin3.chtc.wisc.edu remains unavailable. 

 

We will continue providing updates via our status page tomorrow: https://status.chtc.wisc.edu/

Once all maintenance is complete, we will send a final notification to this list.

Subject: CHTC downtime July 15-16 (HTC & HPC systems impacted)

 

Hello CHTC users,

 

This is a reminder that we have a scheduled downtime starting this afternoon (July 15) that is expected to last until tomorrow (July 16). We are scheduling this downtime to address a bug that has likely been causing the periodic unexpected shutdowns of hpclogin3, ap2001 and ap2002, among other issues.

 

Login to ap2001, ap2002, hpclogin3, and spark-login will be prevented during this downtime. Jobs running on these systems will be interrupted; however, they will remain in the queue and be rerun once the servers are back up.

 

We will update via this mailing list if the downtime will not be completed by the end of the day on July 16. You can also check https://status.chtc.wisc.edu/ for updates.
