Greetings Researchers!

We take your time seriously, and we rarely, if ever, send promotional emails through the chtc-users list. This is one of those exceptional cases.

Please see the below letter from the Faculty Director of the Advanced Computing Initiative (ACI), through which CHTC was recommended and funded to become the centralized campus provider of research computing services, and for whom our HPC Cluster servers are named. A three-question survey is linked for you to provide input for UW-Madison's response to an NSF call for input on research cyberinfrastructure needs (computing/data/network technology and human support), which ACI is coordinating for submission.

Please direct any questions to Paul Wilson (paul.wilson@xxxxxxxx).

Cheers,
Your CHTC Team

Dear colleague,Â

NSF has invited institutions to respond to a Dear Colleagues letter (https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2017/nsf17031/nsf17031.jsp) to provide input on future needs for advanced cyberinfrastructure to support science and engineering research.Â

The UW ACI (Advanced Computing Initiative) would like to gather your responses to the three questions below and submit an institutional response to this call for information. Please provide your answer to these questions using the online form at:Â

Please complete this by the end of day onÂFriday, March 31Âso that we can collate them and submit an institutional response by theÂApril 5Âdeadline. If you have already or plan to submit an individual response to NSF, it would be very helpful if you would use the above link to share portions of your response with us so we can represent your perspective in the institutional response as well.

This is an important opportunity to help shape future NSF initiatives for cyber infrastructure over the next several years and to share ideas on how advanced cyberinfrastructure can drive innovation in your disciplinary area.

Thank you!

Paul Wilson
