Greetings, CHTC Community!

We'd like to inform you of an upcoming research computing training event at UW-Madison:

presented by CHTC's partner, the Advanced Computing Infrastructure

Software CarpentryÂproducesÂtraining materials to help scientists and other researchers use computing with more efficiency and reproducibility. Software Carpentry bootcamps, held at campuses and organizations all over the world, teach the following computational skills in an exercise-driven two-day workshop:
  • command-line task automation
  • basic programming concepts
  • code testing
  • version control
  • SQL databases (newer)
(You can also learn these skills in Software Carpentry's online Lessons.)

Curriculum, registration, and other details for the bootcamp are on Software Carpentry's website. ACI staff, CHTC staff, and CHTC users serve as instructors and in-room helpers. If you would like to contribute to the bootcamp as an instructor or helper, please send an email to lmichael@xxxxxxxx.

Don't miss out, and spread the word to your colleagues!

Regards,
Your CHTC Team
