[Chtc-users] Cooling problems @ CHTC B240 facility - resolved

Hi all,

Executive Summary:

  The chilled water issues at the CS building have been
  resolved. The machines in the B240 facility have been
  restored to service.

Detail:

  Yesterday the cooling plant that supplies chilled water to
UW campus buildings had severe problems with their cooling
towers. This led to a loss of chilled water to many UW campus
buildings including the CHTC computing facility in the UW
CS building.

  The issues with the cooling plant have been largely resolved.
The majority of the CHTC machines we took down have been restored
to service. There are still several compute nodes that need attention,
but CHTC is otherwise back in service. This includes:

submit.chtc.wisc.edu - submission node
cm.chtc.wisc.edu - central manager
checkpoint servers
